Logan Ave Residence

This traditional Arts and Crafts house was charming, but outdated. The owners wanted a home that would grow with their family and allow for large gatherings of friends and family. The new plan makes use of the existing footprint of the house, but rearranges the layout to create openness and flexibility. A large dormer addition on the second floor increases the floor area and improves the number of bedrooms from two to four. Both interior and exterior interventions are contemporary in style, yet complement the existing house through proportion, materiality, and colour palette.
